Publication Coordinator Job Description
- Updates the ASCBC and Student Programs websites weekly or as often as assigned by supervisor
- Arranges and publishes a biweekly ASCBC bulletin
- Creates slides for visual messaging screens in the HUB
- Updates the Student Programs reader board monthly or as often as assigned by supervisor
- Attends technology-related trainings at the discretion of the Director of Student Programs
- Completes a “walk through” in the HUB weekly (or as often as assigned by supervisor) to ensure all technology equipment (Plasmas screens, servers, etc.) are functioning properly
- Creates all club brochures for ASCBC
- Videotapes and/or takes photos in the absence of the ASCBC technology programmer or as assigned by supervisor
- Responsible for maintaining the technology programming (WebCT elections or contests) in the absence of the technology programmer
- Responsible for creating and maintaining all WebCT Tegrity recordings as assigned by supervisor
- Meets weekly with the Student Programs Specialist and/or the Director of Student Programs
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisors
- Adheres to the general requirements
General Requirements
- Works 10-12 hours a week between 7:30am and 4:30pm Monday - Thursday (additional hours maybe added at the discretion of supervisor) at WA state minimum wage
- Posts office hours each quarter and works during those times
- Maintains 6 credit hours each quarter
- Maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.0
- Able to train during the month of June (after June 13)
- Possibly completing summer work (with advanced notice) during the summer months (July – September) – Note: summer work is negotiable if the student selected has a trip planned or an additional summer job.
- Complete a 30 minute computer test during my interview for this position
- Performs various tasks as assigned by the Office of Student Programs
